Reasons for Hope

The greatest need for mankind is pardon.  Jesus Christ provides for our greatest need and so much more.  As believers we are called to share the truth and thereby the reason for the hope that is in us.  Apologetics is the practice of defending one’s beliefs. As important as defending one’s faith is, more needful is the practice of a genuine faith. A changed life based on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the best evidence for the reason of the hope that is in us.

Theme Verse

15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16 having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

1 Peter 3:15-16 (ESV)
